SAFESLIDER IS THE BEST!
Replacing the cheap locks that came with the sliding door gave us the best peace of mind!!! SAFESLIDER keeps the doors from sliding, as well as up and down movement ( to remove door from track ) Easy to install and easy to operate. Whoever designed these put a lot of thought into the design and operation. They have been in use for two years with no problems!!!

This is the best lock on the market for sliding doors, we couldnt find anything that fitted our needs until we found this one. Not only does it provide great security it is also a must if you have young children. Our toddler was always opening the sliding door and trying to go out, not anymore. Great when we have guests with older kids too, the lock is placed high up so none of them can get to it and go out without us knowing. Excellent + the quality is excellent it will last forever. I would recommend and buy again without a second thought! Highly recommended.
Great product
We love our safe glider. We initially got it because our toddler could easily unlock and open the sliding glass door. The safe glider made him unable to open the door anymore. Item is very study and looks well installed! Very happy with it!
best in safety
My husband purchased the door slider for our sliding door to the lanai. It was very easy to install.I feel so much safer sleeping at night. I have told my neighbors about it and they seem really interested. The price was very affordable. Thank You for this great safety device.
Best slider lock ever
Absolutely love my safe slider, I never did quite trust the lock included with sliding doors and all the alternatives are a real pain to use. This sure beats forgetting a broomstick on the side and getting things all jammed up. As a bonus to save energy I installed mine tighter to the edge forcing me to put pressure against the seal and minimize any drafts.
A+, what other option do you have but to buy this?
Solid Security
I purchased the Safe Slider when we purchased our new home. I felt that i needed a better way to secure our sliding glass door because the lock that came with it was flimsy. I received the lock in under a week and installed it in no time. It is SOLID. You can actually feel that the sliding door is secure. I love the design of the lock. If anyone tried to get in, good luck because it locks from the top and the bottom. We definatly sleep better at night becuase of the safe slider lock.

The ease of installation, ease of use and sense of security are second to none. I don't see any way these could be opened from the outside. I would recommend it without hesitation.

I purchased the Safeslider over a year ago and it was installed with ease only a few day later. Before that I was without a lock on my sliding glass doors for a couple of years...just had wood poles on either side of my doors. Why??? Well, my husband dropped a piece of the origional lock that came with the sliding glass doors, INTO the door, where we couldn't retrieve it. We tried and tried to replace the part and the even the whole lock but were unable. Somehow we just gave up. One day a friend told me about Safeslider locks, I researched them right away and then decided to purchase them. Sleep Better with a Pool!
I researched for over a month for sliding door locks for our new home because our doors opened to an inground pool. Needless to say I was terrified that our children could open virtually every other lock I found and wind up in the pool. The dowel in the door is pointless, the bar that you screw in and hangs at the middle of the door can still be lifted by kids, and the type of locks at the top of the frame that require a key are not sturdy (not to mention that who wants to look for a key in the event of a fire).
Your locks not only provide the peace of mind that my kids are safe inside, they are also the most secure locks I have found at keeping others out. They look nice, are hardly even noticeable, and extremely sturdy.
I have installed two and have referred these to several of my neighbors.
Best lock by far!
I recently bought 2 sliding door locks from Home Depot; one was totally defective and one didn’t fit my type of door; at least they gave me a refund. So I went online and found Safe Slider for a lot more money but I ordered anyway and received prompt delivery as they said I would. I tried to mount the latch in the frame channel (1 1/8″ deep) of my plastic slider and the latch didn’t fit. I called Rob and found out that a plastic door frame requires a latch that doesn’t come in the standard kit and it isn’t mentioned in the website or the installation instructions, but he sent one out right away. With the new latch, I was able to do the installation quickly and the lock worked fine. I am pleased with my Safe Slider lock and, most importantly, my wife is very pleased with the Safe Slider.
“Chance favors the prepared mind”, (coined by Louis Pasteur) is one of the mottos I live by. I had recently bought three new sliding glass doors, the ones which slid from both sides. Because of this the traditional wedge bar was not going to work in securing both doors at the same time. I searched at the box stores for a solution and almost went with a system which did not satisfy me completely. I decided to go on-line which is where I ran into the safe slider locks. I purchased six of them one for each door. Installation was very easy and straight forward and the on-line video made it a breeze. About three month after installing them I noticed that someone tried to break in using a screw driver; they mangled the area around the locks fairly bad but the doors did not open. I completely believe this was because of the slider locks. Put very simply the way this product is designed and the way it installs there is very little chance someone will be able to slide the doors open once the locks are engage. I in fact show them off to my friends and always say “the only way someone is going to get in through those doors is by breaking the glass”. Excellent product! I completely recommend it!
One of the comments says “if only you would come up with something for the windows”. What a great idea! I would love locks for the windows. I have some but they keep falling off.
